Randy Orton was born in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, on 1st April, 1980, to his parents Bob and Elaine Orton. After birth he was given the name Randal Keith Orton and he was the eldest of the three children. He has a younger brother Nathan and a younger sister Betty. His father, Cowboy Bob Orton was a wrestler and his grandfather Bob Orton Senior was a wrester too. Since childhood, Bob Orton dreamt to be a wrestler like his grandfather and achieve fame across the world. He was brought up in St. Louis, Missouri when his family shifted when he was young. There he started attending his school. Randy Orton did his graduation in 1988 from the Hazelwood Central High School and joined the United States Marine Corps.

He was in the US Marine Corps for about one year but had to face the dishonor of getting discharged as he went AWOL twice and had disobeyed his commanding officer. He got imprisoned for 38 days in the military prison after being court-martialed by the Uniform Code of Military Justice. After going through high time in his professional career, he did face some controversies in the personal as well as in his professional life. His engagement with his girlfriend Samantha Speno was announced in November 2005 and the marriage took place on 21st September, 2007. Randy Orton became a happy father after he and Samantha had a lovely daughter in 2008 on 12th July. The daughter was named Alanna Marie Orton.

Though he remained unbeaten in many of his matches, he faced with injuries several times which cost him to lose some of his matches. He was even suspended by WWE for his misconduct during the matches and for his unprofessional attitude but when he is back into the wrestling arena, most of time he was the champion. He was a good student during his school days and do care for his parents. He takes his dinner with his family every Tuesday so that he could discuss with his father the previous night RAW matches in details and incorporate improvements. He has lots of likings for the monster truck rallies. He has a very good bondage and friendship with Mark Calaway (nick named “The Undertaker”).

During one of his matches he injured John Cena and felt proud about it during the match but was the first person to visit him after Cena underwent a surgery and now has a good friendship with Cena. His entrance music “Burn in my Light” was composed by Mercy Drive which Randy does not like at all so he made the song “This Fire Burns” by Killswitch Engage as his entrance song for a week. He had other controversies in his personal life as he got accused of harassing Amy Weber and Rochelle Loewen , the employees of WWE and also accused of damaging their properties. Orton has hyper mobile shoulder injury and his collarbone was broken in a match against Triple H.

Randy Orton started his wrestling career in 2000 in St. Louis, Missouri.In 2001, a deal was signed between Randy Orton and the WWE( World Wrestling Entertainment) and then Randy went to Ohio Valley Wrestling in Louisville, Kentucky. He defeated Mr. Black and Flash Flanagan and won the OVW Hardcore Championship in the same year. He became the favorite of the fans of wrestling after his WWE match got telecasted on 25th April, 2002 and that was against Hardcore Holly. He acquired the nick name- “The Legend Killer” and presented himself as the wrestler in whose hands the future of the professional wrestling will go to a different height. He was able to defeat Shawn Michaels. During this period of time, Randy Orton started using a move jumping cutter and that gained popularity as his signature finish.

That move was named RKO, after him. On December 14 in the year 2003, Randy Orton faced Rob Van Dam in the WWE International Championship at Armageddon and defeated him to become the champion of the competition and the title remained with him for about seven months, a record period of time. He faced The Undertaker at Wrestler Mania 21 but got defeated and took his revenge by defeating undertaker at Summerslam. In a Handicap Casket Match held after 2 months, Bob Orton and his father defeated The Undertaker and finally the battle between Bob Orton and The Undertaker ended when the Under defeated the father and the son duo at Armageddon in a Hell in a Cell match.

Along with Edge , Randy made a team named Rated-RKO to defeat the team D-Generation X(DX), which was consisted of Triple H and Shawn Michaels. In April 2004, he defeated Cactus Jack and did justice to his name “The Legend Killer”. The same year in August, he defeated Chris Benoit at Summersam and became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion. He was honored when he introduced his father Bob Orton, the legendary wrestler into the Hall of Fame of WWE. He created a group “The Legacy” after he got discharged from “Evolution” in 2004 after defeating Chris Benoit, the World Heavyweight Champion, and became the leader of it.
